Shane Victorino wins final fan vote, makes All-Star team

It’s official – Shane Victorino is an All-Star.  The Phillies centerfielder went pretty much wire to wire winning the National League’s final vote to make the team. Flyers sign forward Wayne Simmonds to multi-year contract

Flyers general manager Paul Holmgren has announced that the team signed forward Wayne Simmonds to a multi-year contract.  No details on dollars are available yet. Simmonds was acquired from the Los Angeles Kings, along with super-prospect Brayden Schenn, in the blockbuster Mike Richards trade.
