August 8 Camden Courier-Post

Asante Samuel wasn’t his usual loud , boisterous self on the field Saturday afternoon.

The Eagles were just glad that he was on the field.

Samuel returned to practice Saturday afternoon after suffering a hamstring injury last Sunday.

He took his place at cornerback and immediately started needling receiver Jeremy Maclin, who was returning from a knee injury, asking him “Which knee? Which knee?”

That was about all he said. He wasn’t talking smack like he usually does, daring the quarterbacks to challenge him.

Samuel didn’t talk to the media after practice, other than to give anon his status as he was walking past: “Feels great, exclamation point,” he said.”
