January 1 Camden Courier-Post:
“Quintin Mikell immediately thought the worst.
The Eagles were on the road against Dallas, playing a critical game against a team that had beaten them three straight times and knocked them out of the playoffs last season. The game was tied in the second quarter when middle linebacker Stewart Bradley ran off the field clutching his elbow.
In from the sideline came rookie Jamar Chaney, a seventh-round pick who hadn’t played a single down on defense.
“To be honest with you, I was a little bit nervous when he first came into the game,” Mikell, the Eagles‘ veteran strong safety, recalled.”
