Eagles wide receiever DeSean Jackson is known for big plays and big showboating, but now his big mouth has gotten him in to some big trouble. This time for being a bigot.
As first reported by Deadspin through DCFanatic.com, Jackson appeared June 30 on the All Out Show with Rude Jude and Lord Sear on Sirius Radio Shade 45 channel, “the uncensored hip-hop channel created by Eminem.”
During the show, a caller asked if DeSean had ever “had his dick knocked around in the dirt”, which is apparently slang for getting knocked out. Tony from Tennessee was likely mocking DeSean for the ridiculous Dunta Robinson hit last season.
DeSean responded by saying “What kind of question is that” and then dropped the following hate slurs, “You’re a gay ass faggot.” The call was then cut off.

It’s low class and it’s ignorant. If the caller had been allowed to respond and called DeSean a “dumbass nigger”, it would have really hit the fan. But there really is no distinction between hate speech based on your skin color or your sexual orientation. Despite what some braindead assholes think, people can’t control their genetics, whether it’s being gay, black, white, or whatever. People are what they are and to drop hate based on certain intrinsic characteristics makes you a bigot.
That said, it’s possible DeSean is just a young moron trying to sound tough and doesn’t have the ability to grasp that what he did was wrong. And that really seems to be backed up by DeSean himself, who took to Twitter in what appears to be an attempt to explain his position after the fuss was kicked up afterward.
WANNA BRING ME DOWN BUT IM OK!! THEY TRYIN KNOCC ME OFF BUT IM STILL ON!!
THEY LOOKN 2 TAKE YA DOWN AT ALL TIMES NO MATTER HOW POSITIVE AND WHAT U DO!! ITS ALWAYS AWAY THEY TRY TO GET YA…. IM STANDIN TALL
The caps — they’re all DeSean. So is the crazy.
Of course, now that someone obviously smarter than DeSean talked some sense in him, we get a new statement, per PhillySportsDaily.
“In a recent radio interview a caller got really confrontational with me. I got very heated with the caller, took it a bit too far and did not mean to offend anybody. I meant no disrespect and a better choice of words was needed.”
A better choice indeed.
