The Eagles have signed free agent linebacker Tracy White to a one-year deal.
White, 6-0, 230, spent the past two seasons with the Eagles, but it looked like he was moving on a free agent. Apparently that’s not the case.
The Special Teams maven appeared in 26 games as an Eagle, recording 22 tackles (15 solo), one interception and one fumble recovery. This past season, he was the most productive Special Teamer on the Eagles.
To make room for White on the roster, the Eagles released Canadian Football League import Martell Mallett. The rookie runner became expendable when newly acquired running back JJ Arrington passed his physical and was cleared to play. Arrignton is expected to compete with Eldra Buckley and rookie Charles Scott for the third running back role.
