The Eagles have announced that rookie kick returner/backup cornerback Jorrick Calvin has been placed on Injured Reserve due to a back injury.
His season is over.
Calvin was acquired in the preseason when the Eagles traded rookie running back Charles Scott to the Arizona Cardinals in exchange for the sixth-round pick out of Troy .
For the season, Calvin had returned 32 kicks for 692 yards for a 21.6 yards-per-return average. His long was 41 yards. He also has returned 12 punts for 125 yards, an average of 10.4 with a long of 44.
Defensively, Calvin has played in 12 games, recording one tackle.
Earlier this week, the Eagles worked out free agent returners Justin Miller and Clifton Smith; however, a move to replace Calvin on the roster has yet to be made.
