September 8 Philadelphia Inquirer:
“Eagles rookie Ricky Sapp had arthroscopic surgery Tuesday on the right knee that hampered him through training camp and the last two years of his college career.
The surgery, according to the team, was to debride the knee – a procedure typically used to clean up loose debris or fragments. Sapp was placed on the injured reserve Aug. 31 due to knee problems.
Sapp, a fifth-round pick in April’s draft, had to sit out some of training camp with knee pain and did not make a significant impact in practices or preseason games.”
