A disappointment since the ink was drying on his big money free agent contract, the Stacy Andrews era is over before it ever really started.
The Eagles have traded Andrews to the Seahawks for an undisclosed conditional 2011 draft pick.
The trade wasn’t actually cemented before the 6:00pm EST deadline, so backup guard Max Jean-Gilles was technically released, with the intention to re-sign on Sunday.
Andrews never seemed to be able to recover from an ACL tear he suffered in the 2008 season, nor was he able to transition from tackle to guard.
Newly acquired guard Reggie Wells looks to step into the starting lineup on the right side of the Eagles offensive line.
And seemingly not satisfied with their string of rapid fire trades, the Eagles moved veteran linebacker/special teamer Tracy White to New England for an undisclosed conditional draft pick in 2012.
This means both rookie linebackers, Keenan Clayton and Jamar Chaney, will likely make the team.
