October 30 Wilmington News Journal:
“The stadium went silent.
That’s what Jamaal Jackson remembers most about the moment his arm went numb and the realization set in that his season, barely 20 minutes old, was over.
Almost 70,000 fans had packed Lincoln Financial Field for the opener against Green Bay, but the Eagles‘ center couldn’t hear a soul.
“All I remember was everything was quiet,” Jackson recalled. “I go to feel my arm and I was like, ‘Not this again.'”
He went back to the sideline and tested his arm. It felt numb.
“I don’t think they showed it [on TV],” Jackson said, “but when I come out the game you could see it on my face. I already knew what had happened.””
