Just as Chris Pronger’s virus-turned-knee injury was improving, the Flyers captain is apparently now dealing with a concussion.
“While Chris’ knee is improving, he has struggled with other issues that are concussion-like symptoms,” Flyers general manager Paul Holmgren said Friday in a statement. “Chris will see Dr. Joe Maroon and Dr. Mickey Collins on Wednesday, December 14th in Pittsburgh for further evaluation. Chris will be out indefinitely.”
Holmgren also noted that Brayden Schenn will also be out a while as the rookie deals with a concussion of his own.
“Brayden reported “not feeling himself” on December 5th,” Holmgren said. “Our doctors believe he has a mild concussion. Brayden will be out indefinitely.
Schenn has missed the past two games while dealing with what was at first termed an “upper body injury.”
