Flyers ‘indecisive’ on Stamkos offer

June 30 CSN Philly:

Another day of the Steven Stamkos Saga passed without any sign of movement from the Flyers as to whether they’ll extend an offer sheet for Tampa Bay’s restricted free agent center.  “A lot of indecision within a very decisive group, which isn’t like the Flyers,” said a source with knowledge of the talks.  The Flyers can’t decide among themselves whether it’s in their best interests to make an offer.

Flyers haven’t reached out to Stamkos yet

If the Flyers are serious about bringing Steven Stamkos to Philadelphia, they made no attempts to do so Wednesday.  Despite Internet reports stating the club tendered the 21-year-old Tampa Bay Lightning superstar a 12-year, $115 million offer sheet, a source within the Flyers organization confirmed Wednesday that the club has not.

Howe’s value recognized with HOF nod

Mark Howe never held up a Stanley Cup, at an early age dropped out of any competition for scoring titles, instead became a member of the Hall of Fame Tuesday essentially by making the right play 24 out of 25 times. The most fun of all in watching him, too, was that 25th.  “Everybody makes a poor decision from time to time,” said Mike Keenan Wednesday. “I think Mark took more risks in the neutral zone because he knew he could recover.
