“Left winger Simon Gagne’s days as a member of the Flyers could be numbered.Gagne, 30, the longest-tenured current Flyer, has waived his no-trade clause, an NHL source confirmed Friday night. The Flyers and Los Angeles have been talking about a deal, but the Kings have said they want to keep Jonathan Bernier and Jonathan Quick, two goalies that interest the Flyers. If the Flyers sweetened the deal, they might convince the Kings to trade one of the goaltenders.Goalies Marty Turco and Evgeni Nabokov are still available in the free-agent market, but the Flyers would need to trade a huge salary – such as Gagne’s – to fit one of them under the $59.4 million cap.

Gagne could not be reached for comment.

Trading Gagne, who will have a $5.25 million cap hit this season, could enable the Flyers to fit restricted free agents Dan Carcillo and Darroll Powe under the cap. The Flyers currently have just $577,738 of cap space.Long before the Flyers signed Michael Leighton on Wednesday, they had considered dealing Gagne for a goalie if he waived his no-trade clause, a source said.”
