Thread: Galvis is a joke

    Galvis is a joke

doesn't run out a popup and then can't score on a ground rule double with the potential go ahead run.

And, of course, the swedish ape somehow defends it by saying he couldn't have made it to second when MT clearly could have

Galvis wasn't lazy, I can't stand that ****. He was disappointed in a big at bat, he popped up foul. It's a NORMAL reaction. He could have busted it after realizing it was drifting, but he would not have made it to 2B. He would have been half way there when the ball was recovered with a defender standing at 2B waiting. Then there's no tying run and he runs them out of the inning.

This is fact. Deal with it.

Now Herrera, who earlier pointed outside to indicate the pitch was a ball before it was called (it was clearly a strike), is somehow surprised that he isn't getting calls. ****ing dopes, when is that wall getting here?

Nah. This is what happens. People are so out of their minds on this fake hustle **** they fail to actually look at the play and the circumstances. He popped up foul, he looked for the ball to see it was close to the line, so he ran. The time finding the ball means he's not gonna make it to 2B. If he gets thrown out at 2nd, they lose 2-1.

    That's keeping it real.

Rupp went 1st to 3rd on Galvis' pop up that Reyes dropped. Galvis didn't run it out with two outs, stopping at 1st. That's now costly.

Um. Let's get real. It was 2 outs. Rupp was running on the pitch. He didn't have a bat in his hand looking for the ball.

... and he kept running & didn't stop. Not sure why having a bat in your hand matters. No reason Galvis should be looking for ball on pop up

Because Galvis looked for the ball not sure where it went, then realized it was foul near the 3B line. It's a natural reaction.

There's two outs, doesn't matter where it's hit. And if it might land in fair territory you run, especially when you're losing.

The ball was foul. Reyes being close to the 3B line pushed it into fair territory with his drop. No one busts it for a foul ball, anyway.

C'mon, it was a pop up. This isn't something where the guy caught it near the stands or the ball's trajectory was heading that way.

    PhilaPhans‏ @PhilaPhans 4m4 minutes ago

The ball was foul, 1st, he looked to see where it was, then got frustrated that it was playable. He would not have made it regardless.

You saw ball got away too right? I've seen guys run out IF pop ups before. Yhey approach halfway to 2B on catch. He'd make pretty easily IMO

His immediate action was frustration. Not sure what they showed on TV, but he was ticked he popped it up. Barely even ran to first.

    PhilaPhans‏ @PhilaPhans 9m9 minutes ago

His immediate reaction was to follow the flight of the ball. Then he slammed the bat down in frustration and, yes, did not run hard.

    Meghan Montemurro‏Verified account @M_Montemurro 7m7 minutes ago

Yes, he immediately knew he popped it up. They've have played long enough where they can tell nearly immediately b/c of how it feels off bat

That said, everyone will pretend differently, Galvis will fall on his sword in post-game. Truth be told, no way he makes it even busting it.

Guys have lapses. Galvis' was a poorly timed one. Will be interesting to see what side Mackanin takes postgame.

    PhilaPhans‏ @PhilaPhans 6m6 minutes ago

I expect everyone to be politically correct and preach running everything out, regardless of real circumstances.

Good lord is he a retard.

He will really twist himself into a pretzel defending the actions of any black guy lol.

Yes, Galvis is a lazy piece of ****. It doesn]t take a rocket scientist to see it.

  7. #7
it's what Galvis is. His errors on defense are mostly on routine plays because he just gets lazy. He doesn't get on base because he doesn't care to do that, he'd rather hit 20 HR's with an OBP of .280. From a fan standpoint he's unlikeable, as is Herrera who is another ****ing dummy.

The only thing keeping Galvis in the lineup is JP "Dom Brown" Crawford.

If Crawford flames out this team is ****ed. They might be ****ed anyway.

They have no top end talent. They're currently building toward an 84 win team when it all comes together.

they better pray they can somehow get one of Machado, Trout, or Harper, though BS doesn't want Harper. Doesn't like him.

I don't think any of them are coming to Philly.
