Sunday's Phillies vs Marlins game postponed due to Hurricane Irene

The Phillies game scheduled for Sunday, August 28 against the Florida Marlins has been moved to Saturday as part of a day-night doubleheader.  Thanks a lot, Irene.

The game was pushed back to 1:05pm, with Saturday night’s game still scheduled for 7:05pm.  Anyone with tickets to the Sunday game can use them Saturday during the day.  The folks with Saturday night tickets should probably expect to use them at a future date as the looming shadow of Irene means the game will likely get postponed.

The Florida players probably find it annoyingly ironic that they’re dealing with a hurricane in the northeast.

UPDATE: The Phillies have announced that Saturday’s 7:05 game has been postponed due to Hurricane Irene.  It will be made up on Thursday, September 15.  Game time has yet to be determined.
