The Phillies have reportedly agreed to terms with reliever JC Romero.
The team had previously declined their 2011 option on the fiery lefty, which would have required them to pay Romero $4.5 million. Declining the option made Romero a free agent.
Romero had already said he would be willing to return for less, and it looks like that is exactly what happened.
Acquired during the 2007 season after being let go by the Red Sox, Romero was a key contributor in the bullpen for the 2008 World Bleeping Champions. After serving a 50 game suspension in 2009 for testing positive for a banned substance, Romero struggled with elbow issues and general inconsistency.
In 2010, Romero went 1-0 with a 3.68 ERA, appearing in 60 games.
He also has some of the most meticulously sculpted eyebrows in all of Major League Baseball.
