Martinez makes most of chance as Phillies win against Mets

July 18 Camden Courier-Post

Phillies manager Charlie Manuel would rather not have to depend on players like Michael Martinez or John Mayberry.  He’d rather have his everyday lineup in there everyday, watching them overpower an opponent.  But that has rarely happened this season. Moreover, like a lot of Phillies’ fans and pundits, the soon-to-be inductee into the Baseball Hall of Fame believes the team needs a right-handed bat.

Polanco still sore; Oswalt rejoins team

July 18 CSN Philly

Nevertheless, he decided to relax at CitiField on Sunday.
