Doug Collins will make his debut as coach of the 76ers with a seven-game preseason schedule that includes two games at the Wells Fargo Center.

The Sixers will open the preseason against the New Jersey Nets at the Roanoke Civic Center in Virginia on Oct. 5.

It is the first game for the Sixers in Virginia since playing in Norfolk in 2003 and is the first professional basketball game at the Roanoke Civic Center since 1997, when the Charlotte Hornets faced off against the Detroit Pistons in the preseason.

The Sixers then travel to Boston on Oct. 6 and visit the Nets on Oct. 9.”
