“Andre Iguodala, the 76ers’ leading scorer last season, sat out Saturday’s practice at Philadelphia College Of Osteopathic Medicine with a sprained right wrist.

It remained unclear whether Iguodala would resume practicing today.”

Sixers’ Iguodala trying to find hybrid game

“Nothing negative, please.

That’s the unspoken request emanating from Andre Iguodala.

It’s the silent appeal of a guy who likely reads every negative comment, every blast on every website, every monologue spilling from every talking head, every opinion saying he’s bad at basketball – or at least not good enough for his $80 million contract – and that he should be sent packing from the 76ers, shipped away to whoever happens to call the team’s offices on City Line Avenue.

Maybe you’re dying to know, “Andre, honestly, how does it feel?” But prying open that door would take a crowbar, not a tape recorder, and who knows what’s behind it.

Too much frustration and he’ll be called a spoiled athlete, typical of the NBA’s culture.

Too little frustration and we’ll wonder if his heart’s in it, a definite prequalification to playing on South Broad.

Philadelphia can’t be an easy place for Iguodala, but Istanbul, Turkey, site of USA Basketball’s triumph at the 2010 FIBA World Championships, likely was.”
