Agent for Iguodala trying to get him traded to LA

Was there any merit to reported possible Lamar Odom-Luke Walton-Andre Iguodala trade: According to a team official, the 76ers never had a conversation with the Lakers. LA-based agent Rob Pelinka “is trying to get Iguodala traded to his home city.” Hence, the purported Chris Kaman-Iggy dialogue.”

Free agent Young focused on remaining with Sixers

Thaddeus Young was adamant when he said he wants to play for the Sixers for a long time.  “I want to be here,” the restricted free agent emphasized Tuesday after conducting his basketball camp for kids in King of Prussia, clearing up any misconceptions from a recent radio interview where the forward said he had no interest in playing on a one-year contract.

Snyder accepts Lakers position, denies he’s interviewed with Timberwolves

Sixers assistant Quin Snyder has accepted a position on the Lakers’ coaching staff and is denying a report in the St. Paul Pioneer Press that said he has interviewed for the Timberwolves’ head coaching position, basketball writer Scott Schroeder reports via Twitter.

Players, owners to meet again Thursday

Amid mounting labor gloom, NBA commissioner David Stern tried Tuesday to muster a hopeful tone heading into the last scheduled negotiation with the players union before the expiration of the current collective bargaining agreement.  Following a five-hour Board of Governors meeting at the same hotel that the league used as its Dallas headquarters during the NBA Finals earlier this month, Stern and deputy commissioner Adam Silver said that the league’s owners have not formally voted to authorize a lockout to start immediately if there is no new labor agreement before Thursday’s midnight deadline.
